The principal objective of the Investigations & Licensing Department is to ensure the continued suitability of all persons (juristic and natural) who wish to enter or participate in the gambling industry within the Mpumalanga Province.
The functions of the Department include:

Pre-licensing investigations in respect of all applications for licences.

Investigations into the suitability of third parties.

Investigations into suitability for procurement of financial interest in a licensee.

Employee and key employee investigations.

Post-licensing investigations.

Ensuring continued compliance to licence conditions.

The approval and monitoring of certain financial transactions entered into by licensees.

The approval and monitoring of certain financial transactions entered into by licensees.

Investigations of serious incidents that might effect the continued suitability of licensees.

Investigations of applications for transfer, removal or amendment of licences.
